Andee's Bio

Andee Rudloff
January 2009

Artist and muralist Andee Rudloff creates large, expressionistic paintings. Originally from Bowling Green, KY, Rudloff has always found comfort in assembling compositions outside and her works often relate to the environment in which they are created.

Andee Rudloff has over 15 years of experience working as a professional artist and her works are part of many collections. Currently, Rudloff serves as the educator for outreach at the Frist Center for the Visual Art in Nashville, TN. She shows regularly in Tennessee and Kentucky and has several upcoming shows which can be found on her web site. Inspired by her creative mother, Rudloff's portfolio of work is expansive.

Rudloff and her graphic design partner Stacey Irvin have completed many award-winning designs for a diverse list of clients. Additionally, Rudloff has worked with notable artists such as Judy Chicago and local talants Michael Aurbach, Don Evans, John Warren Oakes, William Golden, Byron Jorjorian and many others. Rudloff has served as the Curator of the Arts at the Airport Foundation, Curator of the Johnny Cash Collection, Tour Coordinator of the At Home On Tour traveling exhibition and an educator in Kentucky's juvenile justice system. Rudloff believes art education is an important component to the growth of the region and hopes to help cultivate more art experiences for others. Holding true to the belief that we should never take a second for granted, one rarely sees Rudloff standing still, but always in constant motion.

Currently, you can view her work in Nashville at Magpie etc. and Studio East Nashville. Opening in January of 2009, Rudloff is very proud of her first curatorial effort at the Frist Center for the Visual Arts, Seeing Ourselves: Photographs of Safe Haven.
